Losing Sound After Upgrading Ubuntu 8.04 into Toshiba NB100

My friend has just installed Ubuntu 8.04 into Toshiba NB100, unfortunately after updating software, he found that sound devices dissapeared from the list. It also makes no sound anymore. He has tried installing some alsa drivers model, but it doesn’t work. When he tried command such as “aplay -l – i” there is no soundcards found.


Have you ever found same problem? follow below simple instruction to solve your problem.
Enter terminal
you may type sudo mv /lib/modules/2.6.24-19-lpia/updates/sound ~/sound
press Enter
You may need insert password and press enter
Type sudo depmod -a
and You may should restart your Toshiba NB100.
