My friend want to install their Satellite A300-177 laptop with Windows Xp. Unfortunately, He found some problem such as sound and modem don’t work (HDAudio Soft Data Fax Modem With Smart CP and Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221).

He also downloaded ConexantHDAudio221_XP.zip but when install this driver for Satellite A300-177, He found error messages “No Audio Device Attached..”.

Fortunately, after googling for an hour, I suggest my friend to instal Microsoft Hotfix KB888111 and KB835221. Installing both of patching files. Rebooting your Satellite laptop and go to device manager. Remove two of PCI devices that yellow exclamation mark. You should install Realtek Sound driver when laptop found new driver.
