External monitor failed runs while using on Sony Vaio VGN-SZ650N with Windows 7 installed. It would not recognize at all. Someone who’s experience this external monitor’s issue said previously he downgrade VAIO from Vista to XP. Nevertheless, this problem starts after he reinstalled Windows 7 on it.

Actually everything works fine. The only problem he’s got is external monitor that unable to detect by machine. In order to recognize an external monitor, he’s already trying Fn F7 keys or Win-P but the monitor would not switch.

Sounds like the problem of external monitor would not recognize by windows 7 on Vaio VGN-SZ650N was caused of incorrect driver. To detect an external monitor you can try to download the Vista Nvidia driver and install it on the PC.
