Solve Audio Problen After Installing MACOSX
After install AquaMac’s GeForce series 9 installer on Gateway P-7811FX and the laptop also has QE/CI support, the last issue that still comes is the audio problem. Might the solution to fix audio problem is a real hack job but it should works fine.
To get P-7811FX audio works you can try this following:
1. There is a modded kext or two floating around, get one list of AzaleaAudio.kext via the links below this post Go there and scroll down, there are 2 different solutions you can choose, and both should have good work:
- AppleAzaila. This works directly but there’s only speaker out, no headphones, microphone or anything.
- Conexant Cx20561 driver. This has all the outputs and inputs (including ones you can’t even get from Windows.) The cons might you have to plug in headphones every time you boot computer for it to start working. For most people it was annoying of course, but thought it worth because of the extra functionality.
2. After running the package from the link above, now copy and paste manually everything in the ‘contents’ folder over to your
./extensions/AppleAzaleaAudio.kext file.
3. Re-register the file
After reboot the P-7811FX now you should see audio output is works properly, the function keys and volume slider on the laptop also work to control volume. And the best thing it also fixed bugs for the audio headphones.
