T400: Delaying Boot and Hang on Restart
Running Vista x64 SP2 at Lenovo Thinkpad T400 ones experiences the computer has a boot delay and hang on restart. Before accuse Windows Vista is the caused of long boot delay problem on T400, you need to know hard drive also possible to make those problem occurs. If your T400 laptop still under warranty it doesn’t matter, you need only return the laptop back and it can be fixed.
With assumption problem of long boot delay in T400 causes of Vista problem, changes the OS to Windows 7 can be a good solution. Running Windows 7 on T400 is great, it’s stable and faster. Boot time is fast and uses up less RAM then Vista. As far there are no crashes, blue/black screens, or memory leaks yet. It’s only RC, so crashes could happen. RTM is or should be out soon enough.
