Here are the following steps:

- Boot from the DVD ISO and wait a minute or so. You’ll see some text run by and then the Apple OS X setup dialog box.
- Once you see the Welcome screen, bring up Disk Utility by selecting the menu item Utilities -> Disk Utility. Now select the hard drive you want to install OS X onto and create a new partition. Once the partition created, exit the Disk Utility.
- Now that the partition is ready, go back to the setup and continue the install.
- When the setup finishes, the netbook will reboot and you’ll see the OS X welcome animation and the initial setup screens. In case you’re facing up the problem of sending back to the beginning of the animated Welcome splash screens. You need to bypass the entire setup. Here’s how to bypass the setup portion:
a. Switch on the IdeaPad S10
b. Boot OS X with the “-s” option
c. Type the following commands:
“/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /”
d. Change directory to the following location
“cd /Volumes/
e. Create an empty “.AppleSetupDone” file by typing:
“touch .AppleSetupDone”
f. Create your root password
“passwd“
g. Select exit.
Now you can log in as root using the password you created and create a new user account. Until this step, you might find some devices won’t work properly. It’s okay, you can fix them next.
