How To Fix Sound Problem on Lenovo Thinkpad T60

have you ever found sound error/gone in Thinkpad T60 notebooks? my friend has just installed Microosoft Windows Vista Ultimate on his Lenovo Thinkpad T60s, eventhough windows says that the hardware and drivers works perfectly, he said that the sound is gone.

He tries to roll back the sound driver installation (HD Audio hotfix KB937077), He found that the error out put such as “File cannot Be Played” on Windows Media Player, “unspecified extrnal error” on winmap and “Failed to play test tone” on Windows Sound Control Panel.

Do you know how to fix all of sound trouble on Lenovo Thinkpad T60? really simple, When he installed Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 RC, his problem has been fixed.

    Hi,

    My Thinkpad Lenovo T60 has a sound problem. I can not hear any sound, no way to play music or watch document. How can I do so that to fix this sound problem? Please I need your help.

    I have recently formatted my IBM Thinkpad T60 and i tried to install Audio drivers & i get this error message(HDA bus driver required and not found, how can i fix this problem or do i get the hda bus driver? please help

    Try searching Lenova for the UAA driver for whichever SP you are at. Once you have that the audio drivers should install.

    might be worth installing the Thinkvantage update manager as well. You dont have to make the installs automatic so its a good way to see the updates that are available for your model without the guess work and without getting alot of crap you dont want.

    you have Sp1 than you’ll find an UAA driver under the lenovosite…
