Fixing Hibernation Mode for Lenovo ThinkPad T61
Lenovo T61 with Windows XP SP2 found goes to sleep after resuming.
Someone who experience in this problem said in often time he’s resume
the T61 after it in standby mode, he’s getting the login screen and
then his T61 laptop going back to sleep. It seems like the computer
run with hibernation mode.
Other users of Lenovo T61 with Windows 2000, Windows XP version 2.16
and Windows Vista 32bit also said that they’ve found the similar
problem. But it was occur after installing McAfees Safeboot Software
to their computer. In around 30 seconds after the computer woke up
from hibernate their Lenovo T61 goes to hibernate mode again.
There are two solutions you can try to fix the problem of Lenovo T61
which goes to sleep after resuming. Firstly, it may cause of the
advanced docking station. For this trouble you need to install the
IBM-Thinkpad System Utilities. And then go to the global power
settings => click “advanced” => set “undock action” to “no action”.
Other caused of sleep after resuming problem is over heating. Here the
solution you can try is disable indexing of the local disks on your
T61 laptop. By doing this, the computer is note ably cooler. Now you
should see the problem has not come back in your Lenovo T61.
