Pavilion DV6700:No Volume Control On Screen Display
No On-screen display for volume control on HP Pavilion dv670 special
edition is another issue found. Whenever open internet explorer and it is the active window then On-screen volume display doesn’t appear. It increase or decrease the volume but it doesn’t display. But, if windows explorer is the active window or on the desktop, HP Pavilion dv670 will displays it.

solution you can follow:
1. Click the Vista start icon at bottom left.
2. Type RUN in the Start Search box and hit Enter.
3. Type “msconfig” and click OK.
4. Click on Continue.
5. Select the StartUp Tab in the System Configuration menu.
6. Remove the Checkmark from the HP Quicktouch On Screen Display item.
7. Press OK button.
After HP Pavilion dv670 machine restart you can try to open internet explorer and watch the result.
