Hello,
i have a laptop HP Pavilion dv2000 with windows vista32-bit oprating system with SATA hard Drive, now i need to install windows Xp but i m unable to install i tired to try and find salutions but nothing ,in BIOS no option for disable SATA i was dowload some software like sp37005, sp36869 but show message this software version is not for your laptop
plz plz plz help me i need to install windows XP

I am having a hard time trying to damn install these drivers.. speacially my nvidia 8400 card doesnt have a driver!!! can someone please tell me how do i install install it

Here’s what I did, hope it helps…

-Update your Phoenix BIOS to the last version (doing this saved me from disabling ACPI during XP installation)
Careful, any mistake doing this can make your computer pure rubbish..

-Go to this website:
http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/questionanswer.do?threadId=1242154

here you can find the SATA drivers you need to add to the Xp installation cd with Nlite…
add those drivers and then burn a bootable Cd with Nlite

-after installing XP follow the instructions on that website for installing the correct drivers.

I did everything this morning, and it is working just fine…
