hi. i just did one, and after 22 hours with no luck, found all the drivers but for sound, i finally lucked out.
compaq has the same laptop, same hardware, except they do post drivers.
its an atheros wireless
nvidia, which finally got one that worked on softpedia
the nvidia you need will load the network card and the smbus.
you can also go to nvidia and let them do a hardware search
the modem was conexant hd audio
and the sound was tough. got it from driverguide.com, looked for conexant hd audio, and there was a generic that worked perfect.
what a nightmare. do it all the time and this was the worst.
the 4 base system devices go away after you load the cardreader, which i got a richoh that worked and a texas instruments.
the ohci 1394 device with the exclamation point, look for something called unibrain 1394 driver
the unknown device is a power thing, and you can get the update from amd.
thats all folks..
also, look for a program called drivermax. its free and works well.

the cam you can get from hp or compaq, and the sound you need to load microsoft hi def audio first, also on the hp page.
and the drivermax program will find and backup all of your drivers first to a folder, and you can reinstall it later and it will restore the drivers from the backup. dont know if it works from vista to xp, but at least you can get a true id beforehand which makes the search so much easier. also, look for a program called everest to id your hardware, and my drivers to also backup into easy to use exe restore cabs.
i have most of the drivers, however some are too big to email.
sound, modem, card reader, i think all are ok to send.
good luck. this one is tough, because its new, and was a limited edition, but i know the one from compaq the drivers work.
i did a search in yahoo for “compaq laptop with nvidia 7150m” and got the list for the one that was basically the same…
also, the motherboard id helps, which is a quanta 30cf with nvidia chipset, at least this one was, but everest can id any hardware.
