One user who has HP8510p laptop with Windows Vista installed wants to connecting laptop to LCD TV using HDMI. While connecting laptop via HDMI cable he can see the video is good appears but the audio which should be heard from the TV, it was not. The sound only comes from the laptop. He thought the cable didn’t plug correctly so he was checking it but found it placed well.

Many users who’ve try connecting laptop to HDTV via HDMI often facing up the trouble. And the problem of available to showed the picture but didn’t have a sound like mention above is the one of them. Caused of this problem seems like the wrong audio setting on the laptop. To resolve the problem you can try this:

Go to Control Panel
Select Sounds
Right click mouse on the “Digital Output Device (HDMI)”
Set it as default/ It should has the same as Realtek HD Audio

And the last step, you have to go to the TV’s options also and set the sound input as the HDMI port. Now check the sound from the HDTV speakers, it should hear perfectly.
