Fix HP Pavilion DV6700 WLAN driver error on XP
Someone has just finished installed Windows XP on Pavilion DV6700 Laptop, unfortunately his WLAN device doesn’t work on this laptop. Eventhough He tried Broadcom Drivers from Official HP Website, Atheros 5007 driver or even Intel driver, all of driver don’t work.
But, Finally he found that his wireless card (after opened laptop case) has been stamped as BCM94312MCG. It means you can download this wireless driver from Dell official website that it can be found here.
After You’ve installed and check your Device Manager, you may found “Dell Wireless 1395 WLAN Mini-card” has been set and your wireless has worked. Good Luck

I have dell, and the driver which came with it on the drivers cd seems to e for vista only and does not work for Xp, the file size on dell site is too big for dial up, so what? nothing I read somewhere that I could install the 1390 wlan drivers, now going to try it.

I used the Intel Pro Wireless Driver available on the Dell Website and it worked even though my card is a 1390.
