Vostro 1015: How To Install Vista Ultimate
The one laptop’s user tried to install Vista to Dell Vostro 1015 but never completing installation. He’s already tried in a few times but the same problem still happened. He didn’t buy Windows Vista Ultimate with Vostro laptop as he has this OS version disc.
At start, with Vista OS he’s format the hard drive and create three partitions on it. The first partition uses for installing vista ultimate and it start the installation normally. The installation runs well and setup loading file after system goes to restart. Once the system log onto windows, screen appears completing installation but that installation doesn’t finish. This appears in about two hour with no error or anything message appear except last loading file completing installation.
To resolve this problem, you need to know exactly is the vista ultimate OS was given with Vostro 1015 laptop. And also, where did the installation stop while installing the OS. Does it stop in the same previous place while installing?
However, thought the problem of never completing installation Vista on vostro 1015 causes of the two things:
- Windows Vista Ultimate OS is not the original OS. For this reason you can try to use another OS disk.
- In case you have a good OS of Vista Ultimate, while installation try NOT using quick format. Format only the drive you want to load the OS.
You can format other drives after installation complete through the Administrative section.
