Inspiron 1525: Using Blu-ray with HDMI Output
As you’re might already know Blu-Ray is the new technology and it still developing their technology. That’s why some people had some issues that require them to have multiple firmware upgrades to keep up with just said the newest discs.
In case you want to use Blu-Ray with HDMI output on Inspiron 1525 better build your laptop as you want on the website and see what the configuration checker tells you. Once you are able to configure 1525 laptop with the blu-ray drive on the dell website, thought it would work in that configuration.
And one thing, you probably need to remove the graphics card from device manager first and then uninstall the intel chipset software. After cleaned the intel chipset software complete, try this following:
- Go to Dell support
- Download and install the latest Intel chipset
- Download and install the Video drivers
After restart the Inspiron 1525 laptop, all should works fine now and everything is automated. One issue than probably comes is when you pull out the HDMI and you are in IE playing music or watching a DVD you will loose sound. If it happened you need to close IE and re-open and the sound will work.
