How To Make Dell Inspiron 1520 Harddisk Silent
My friend has just bought Dell Inspiron 1520 for $1.013. This laptop has featured Intel Core 2 Duo T7300, 160GB of SATA hard disk, 256MB of NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, 2GB of DDR2 SDRAm, DVD Double Layer Support, Intel 3945 a/b/g, Microsoft Windows Xp Professional preinstalled and 15.4-inch WXGA= Widescreen that support for 1440 by 900 pixel resolution.
Unfortunately, he heard a clicking sound of the harddisk while it idle. My friend has identified his harddrive using Notebook Hardware Control Tools and everything is fine. He may should change the accoustic management, follow this simple step:
a. Download NHC 2.0 pre-released 06 here
b. Download and setuo Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 here
c. Install and run NHC
d. Enter the applications and choose setting TAB.
e. Choose “Show All NHC Options and settings”.
f. Select Hard drive tab and under advanced Power management choose the highest setting: Max. Performance Mode.
All of your Inspiron 1520 problem have been fixed.
