Fixing Modem Device High Definition Audio Bus on Inspiron 1720

Did you found following error driver installation when you try downgrading your OS from Vista to XP? Sigmatel High Definition Audio Codec and Modem High Definition Audio Bus may report driver not installed properly.

Eventhough you download and install all of Xp Driver from official Dell Inspiron 1720 Notebooks, I think that all of driver may be not working. I don’t know why? But, You may try this driver below (Sound Audio driver came from Dell Vostro 1500) to solve your problem.

Download Sound Audio Driver for Dell Inspiron 1720 for Windows Xp. Tell me gaian if this way can’t correct your sound problem.

Hi,
R171789.exe seems not working on my Inspiron 1720. I have been looking for several sources but no luck so far.
Grateful if you have other suggestions.

No that driver did not help mu Dell m4300 modem on audio bus problem.

Guys i found it on dells website.

Just look for:

Communications: Conexant D330,HDA,MDC,v.92,modem, Driver, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Multi Language, Multi System, v.drv_xp_2k_7.68.00.00, A01

R167368.exe

Worked well for me.

After many days of search, the answer #6 worked for my INSPIRON 1520.
