Fix WLED Screen Problem on Dell M1330
Right after the Dell M1330 boot, someone found the WLED screen getting inch-wide vertical bar near the centre of the screen starts to flicker and its colors become distorted. It does begin very faint and only visible on certain colors but becomes weight and stronger. After a few while the effect shown at the 1330 screen becomes more pronounced and horizontal lines begin to flicker up and down the column. Eventually the whole bar goes almost completely black.
He said “actually that problem first started happening a few months ago and, at the time, the problem could be fixed by applying a small amount of pressure to the screen casing below the affected area and gently rubbing”. He’s already tried to do Dell M1330 update bios and graphics drivers but seems like those solutions had no effect. Beside he’s also begun to notice two small white spots towards the bottom right part of the screen that are only visible against a light colored background.
If this trouble is come to your Dell M1330 screen, I hope your laptop still has under warranty so you can bring it to the Dell service
center. However, before decide to get a new screen, better try this way below to check.
Try an external monitor to display your Dell M1330 laptop, if it shown a good image, then the screen needs to be replaced. More likely it’ll show the same fault, in which case it’s yet another faulty nVidia chip and Dell will replace the mainboard under warranty.
