Fix CATALYST Install Manager has stopped working
The one user of Dell Studio 1737 laptop recently upgrade to Windows 7. All of he works seems well done until he’s found the failed ATI Video driver. The things he’s try to fix it is download the latest Win 7 64-bit driver from Dell. But during install he’s got a message said “CATALYST Install Manager has stopped working”.
As install ATI Video driver won’t work then he’s delete default driver and reinstall with Dell’s driver again but is still has no good result. As it is now, He’s able to use the laptop but he didn’t have access to any of the Catalyst features.
The failed of access to any of the Catalyst features at Studio 1737 with Windows7 installed was possibly come because of several things including the update drivers. First of all you need to make sure that you may have to run the installer as administrator. This can be access by right click on the install file and select “run as administrator”.
Another solution you can try is running Windows Update through your Studio 1737 and sees if they have an ATI driver available. In case you see Catayst on the desktop, you could download mobility modder and get it to mod a desktop version of ATI newest drivers. The final solution is upgrading Studio 1737 OS to Win 7 ultimate 64-bit. Many users said they have no problems getting the Catalyst control center to work after upgrading to Win 7 ultimate 64-bit.
