Fixing Sound Error on Compaq Presario CQ40-101TU
Somebody asked me that He found some error message when installing Windows XP SP3 or SP2 into Compaq CQ40-101TU notebook. He just installed Microsoft UAA and framework and found this message .. _ExitError: error=device object not present restart system .. If you want to solve this problem, follow this simple step.
Someone in the hp forum has told that this error cause MS UAA service that conflict with latest express four chipset and it didn’t restart automatically. You may need to download and install devcon.exe first from official microsoft site here.
Create bat file that contains .. DEVCON.EXE RESTART “PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_293E&SUBSYS_3607103C&REV_03″ .. PCI\~ your MS UAA hardware id. Put bat files in the windows startup. Everytime your notebook restart, your ms uaa will be restart automatically. You may download working patch here.
