I need drivers for compaq cq50-106au laptop.But it shown internet explorer-security warnig message box when I download driver. The box shown the publisher could not be verified. The driver was downloaded incompletly like 20% and then shown dailog box “the driver was downloaded competly” please explain what is the problem

pages not rendering smoothly…..
I tried on NVIDIA site, they say that this driver shd be downloaded frm the notebook manufacturer…. and compaq only provides drivers for sucking vista :X :`(

I am from Pune. On last sunday I purchased same laptop from Croma Megastore. After fighting will sales person he finally provided one CD which has all the Laptop Drivers. Let me know if you want those.

Hi All,
It is not possible to send the drivers through mail because of their large size. If anyone is from Pune and facing problems with the drivers for CQ50-106AU, I can help them.
For Post number 11, before installing sound card drivers for CQ50-106AU please install modem driver and then install only one soundcard driver (Conexant Sound Card Driver) and disable the otherone. So try to do this, you will definitely get success.

I bought compaq cq50 – 106au last week. Installed Win XP home edition as it had DOS originally.
I havent installed the drivers yet. However, the system is extreamly slow. Is that normal or is something wrong with the system.

The system is not slow. The system takes rime to getback to normal resolution because it doesn’t have any drivers installed on machine. The drivers are available on net but you should have broadband connection to download those drivers. If you still need help I can help you in finding the drivers (email : amarnarkhede@gmail.com). If you are from Pune (MH) then, I can help you. Because I have all the drivers for this laptop. All the components attached to the laptop works fine once they get their drivers.

Hi I purchased a CQ50-106AU from Croma Pune today and while creating partitions and installing the OS it shows that total 131076 MB of unpartitioned space available but it should be 160 GB right. Any idea why it is so.

it had no OS but the shopkeeper gave a winxp cd
but i have no drivers tried one of the above links but my dataconnect (reliance) speed is pathetic…its shows server reset after it reaches to 30-4-% of download

thanks for the link, the scroll feature is active now.
But the on/off button is still not working.
Also, with vista installed the, web cam provides many features/styles for taking pics nd video recording.(seen that in my frenz lappie)
With XP in my lappie i only have basic feature of clicking a single simple pic at a time.
can we enable those features in XP.HOW?

now the modem, sound card and camera are not working in win2003 but do work in xp. anyone knows if these will work on win2003 server

i downloaded all the drivers of cq50 106au through internet..i installed them and all are perfectly working except the network drivers…neither the wireless device is working nor the modem device..when i checked the device manager a yellow mark is displayed near the wireless adapter and the network controller is displayed in other devices…from where can i get the network drivers?

Yesterday i purchased my new compaq notebook model is CQ50-106AU…..its configuratin is
AMD X2 Dual core QL-60 processor
2gb ram
160gb hdd
FreeDos OS(provided by company)
Nvidia graphics card….
I installed the window Xp succesfully on my laptop but after installing it, when i switched on my laptop, then i found that everything is opening up layer by layer (just like frames in a movie)….even the WELCOME screen of the window….
for example if i want to open MY COMPUTER, then first of all one white screen layer comes, then toolbar layer is formed and after that complete My computer window appears……
i tried to install the windows again, but still this problem is there……
EVERYTHING OPENS OR CLOSES JUST LIKE POWERPOINT “cover up” TRANSITION SLIDE EFFECT…..
I HAVEN’T INSTALL ANY DRIVER ON MY SYSTEM……Is this is the reasoning for poor performance of my laptop??
i tried to play the movie on window media player, and what i found that it is also playing frame by frame….just like slow motion…..
i also removed all effects from windows(fading or sliding effects) but still this problem is not resolved….
i selected BEST PERFORMANCE for My Computer properties but still no help…
I DON’T KNOW THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH WINDOW OR WITH MY LAPTOP
I THINK THERE IS SOME HARDWARE PROBLEM..
pls tell me what should i do now???

You will face problem in installation of device drivers as these drivers are not microsoft signed. So these drivers need forceful installation. If you face any problems. Call me I will assist you in solving ur problem.
