Actually, XP Drivers for Compact C793TU has same driver with HP V6700, but here complete xp driver for you:
a. .Net Framework here
b. Atheros AR5007 here, make it sure that you only need instal the drivers.
c. Microsoft UAA here, you have to reboot your notebook before continuing install driver (Conexant).
d. Conexant SmartAudio 221 Sound driver here => goto Device Manager, right click to “Audio Device on HD” => Update Driver and locate “WISVHe5.inf”
e. Soft Data Fax modem Driver here

Hi,
I have just bought a Compaq Presario C795VU Notebook and have installed Win XP and I am having issues with my following devies:
SUPER Multi 8X DVD +- R/RW with Double Layer Support is not working properly (not able to read or write DVDs)
Modem driver for WinXP not found hence not working.
WiFi button driver not found for WinXP although I have tried xp32-5.3.0.56-whql_Atheros wireless driver and it worked and I am able to view the wifi link on the status tray but the quick launch button is not working.
If someone has the drivers for WinXP please send me a link.

I had purchased a COMPAQ PRESARIO C700 C793TU Notebook before 6 months,
I not got the motherboard cd that is drivers cd with my Notebook,I had formatted notebook,so if anyone can get me linked with these drivers on loveu143243@yahoo.com. thatz my yahoo.Id…..ITz very urgent as my sound,bluetooth and Lan card are not working..

I had bought Compaq Pressario C793TU. Got all drivers installed as suggeted above. Thanks. All works EXCEPT sound. When I go to the sound device option in Control Panel, it has all options grayed out and I cannot even access the window to change the device type (speakers)
What do I do and what am I not doing correctly
