This is a basic tutorial about how to install Windows XP for Asus G51VX with Intel chipset and the require drivers. As you’re might already know, it’s important to install Win XP sp2 or the newer version for Asus notebook. So here, we use Win XP sp3 for this necessity.

With the assumption you’re already have Win XP sp3 disc and USB Flash drive with contains of all require drives, now here are the following:

- Insert the new XP sp3 CD into Asus G51VX DVD drive and restart the computer
- Press Esc key immediately when the ASUS logo appears.
- Select “Boot from the DVD drive”. This will start the XP installation procedure
- Designate to install XP on the other HDD.
- Just follow the instructions appears and you will be able to install XP smoothly.
- Open the USB Flash Drive.
- Install all the XP drivers and utilities in the number sequence. Make sure that you have installed all of them.
- Go to Control Panel and choose System
- Press Hardware and go to Device Manager

Now check whether there is any exclamation mark (!) or question mark (?). If there is clear, means all of G51VX devices recognize properly and your job is well done.
