Acer, like HP, Compaq and a few others, tattoo the hard drives and BIOS installed on their products. That doesn’t allow one to install another OS (“you buy Vista, you keep it and you use only it on that computer”…). The Aspire 8730 series shows no exception, making it a not so good product.
