hi cannot control brightness in xp. no powermanagemnt software for xp, only 4-5 hours also heating in xp pls help

is this true? im going to change my os to windows xp BUT if i cannot control brightness and no power mangement and only 4-5 and heat up, i lose all the features… someone please check
